Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test created by business schools for admission into a business school. This test is highly important to business and management (MBA) programs around the world. This score is accepted by more than 6,000 programs offered by more than 2,100 institutions and universities in 114 countries around the world. The GMAT is developed and administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The GMAT exam fee is US$250 which includes five score reports that a candidate can send to different programs.
This exam is designed to test skills that are vital to real-world business and management success. It assesses the data sufficiency, critical and logical reasoning skills along with analytical writing and problem-solving abilities. This is the only exam that tests a student’s integrated reasoning skills which is one of the main essential skills required to succeed in today’s technologically advanced and data-rich world.
The GMAT Total Scores range from 200 to 800, with Verbal and Quantitative scores ranging from 6 to 51. A candidate will receive separate scores for each of the four individual sections as well as Total Score derived from the Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning scores. Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing scores will not be the factor in the total scores instead these will give additional data points to consider. The GMAT score will be valid for 5 years. Any individual can retake the GMAT exam 5 times in a calendar year and once in every 16 calendar days.
